📚 What Is Assam D.El.Ed
PET?
The Pre-Entry Test (PET) is a compulsory entrance
examination for students seeking admission into two-year D.El.Ed courses
offered by Government Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) across Assam. Only
candidates who pass this test will be considered for seat allotment in TEIs.
During the application, candidates must select a district
where they want to appear for the PET. Their admit card will include the
precise location of the exam centre within that district.

Criteria
🔸 Educational
Qualification:
- Candidates
should have passed Higher Secondary (Class 12) or equivalent from a
recognized board.
- Minimum
marks required:
- General
category: 50% aggregate
- SC/ST
candidates: 45% aggregate (relaxation applicable)
🔸 Age Requirements (as of
1st July 2025):
- Minimum
Age: 18 years
- Maximum
Age: 34 years
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H):
Upper age relaxed to 36 years

- Reservation
policies for OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and PwD candidates will follow
state government rules.
